  • $25.00

Saint Paul's–Marsabit, Kenya
Summer 2006

We have been invited to Saint Paul's Secondary School in Marsabit, Kenya for the summer of 2006. The immersion experience will be open to underclassmen, with Freshmen given first priority. Our students would be living and studying with students from the pastoralist tribes of northern Kenya while providing help in English and Technology. The expectation, upon return, is that they help with mission education. Because the primary cost is airfare, dates and cost cannot be exact at this time.

  • Open to Freshmen, Sophomores and Juniors (10 maximum)

  • Approximately six weeks between the dates of May 27 (the earliest departure) and July 18th (the latest return date) based on the availability and price of air travel:

    • 4 weeks in Marsabit

    • 1 week in excursions (game parks, etc.)

    • 1 week in another Lasallian school in Kenya (Rongai or Nyeri).

  • The last week in June we will be joined by a student group from Ireland.

  • Cost will be approximately $500-800 above air travel and depends on the number of students. The more students, the cheaper the price for ground transportation in Kenya.

  • Possible academic credit, definite service hour requirements met.
