Gabriel Drolin is sent to Rome |
Painting by Aurelio Mariani, 1906: the Founder blessing the Drolin
Brothers, Gabriel and Gerard, before their departure for Rome in
1702. (Only Gabriel was to stay). This early presence of the new
Institute in Rome was a sign of loyalty to the Pope and the first
expansion beyond France. |
