Book of Daily Prayer (51-55)

 51. GO FORTH

Go forth in peace, for you have followed the good road. Go forth without fear, for God who created You has made you holy, has always protected you, and loves you as a mother. Blessed be you, God for having created me.

52. AN AFRICAN PRAYER

God, first among all spirits,

Supreme Being who feels something for us. You, possessor of all, who have inner peace, Who are the same outside and inside.

You are the one who created all crops. You gave them to us for c use during our stay on earth among our fellow humans.

Be also our Creator, give us wise and strength so that we may grow always be sincere and true.

And you, God, master of everything Grant us your help to live for others so that we may live for you.

53. THE GIFT GOD GAVE YOU

God, how beautiful is Your creation, how marvelous is Your goodness, how fantastic You are to give it all to us!

The gift you give, carries a grave responsibility: we are to care for your gift, share your gift with others, see than your gift is not misused, develop your gift make your creation grow and prosper.

God, You made us in Your image and likeness You loved us so much that You became like You remain with us each day to assist us.

54. ANIMATED

WHEN PEOPLE ARE ANIMATED BY THE CHARITY OF CHRIST, THEY FEEL

UNITED, AND THE NEEDS, SUFFERINGS,

AND JOYS OF OTHERS ARE FELT AS THEIR OWN.

55. WHAT MAKES A PERSON A SAINT

What makes a man or woman a saint?

Perhaps the saints were canonized 

Because they were cheerful when it was difficult to be cheerful;

Patient  when it was difficult to be patient,          and because they pushed on when they wanted to stand still,

That was all.
